An Optimist!

After watching the New Hampshire debates, I must say that I have once again been inspired by Mike Huckabee. In response to a question about energy independence, the overwhelming message from most of the candidates was that a near-term solution is not attainable. Mitt Romney stated that "this isn't something that can be solved in ten years; we can't become energy independent in ten years."

In the face of the nay-sayers, Mike Huckabee again made a believer of me with his optimism and his credence in the spirit of the American people and American innovation. Can we become energy independent in ten years? "If we want to, we can."
